A day in the life…

Bridal Stylist Tammie tells us what her typical day looks like.

Hi all!

I’m Tammie, one of the stylists here at Blush! I have been working in bridal for two years, and have been at Blush for almost a year. My favorite wedding styles are modern, boho, and I love dresses that are more simple and classic.  I always say I have the best job, and I get to work with some of the most amazing people. Let me take you along in the day in the life of a bridal stylist!

One of the first things I do when I get to the store is check my messages with brides, and see what appointments I have that day. I go through our bridal questionnaire to make sure I have everything prepared for my appointment. I like to know ahead of time what a bride is envisioning so I can be better prepared to help her. When my bride arrives, we have a fun introduction, and I take her and her group over to our fitting room area. I always start by asking about the wedding vision, and how she will envision herself on the big day. I also ask if she has been shopping before, and if not tell her how much fun dress shopping is!

The bride and I then make our way to the showroom, where we discuss price point, styles, and silhouettes. I typically like to start with 4 or 5 dresses in the room just so the bride doesn’t get overwhelmed by dresses. One of my favorite parts is chatting while helping her into the dresses. I love to ask about how her and her fiance met, how long they have been together, and if the proposal was a surprise! This helps me connect on a better level with my bride, and aso helps her feel more at ease in the dressing room. The bride will try on a handful of dresses, narrowing down the dresses to a top three. After this, I have the bride try on her favorites again, this time jacking her up in bridal glam. Trying on different accessories with the dress such as veils, hair vines, or earrings really helps the bride see the full picture. The bride will have her moment in her dress, which is the best part. I love seeing brides light up when they know they have found the one. After the said yes process, I will measure the bride to make sure we are ordering her the best size possible. The check out process goes pretty smooth, and I talk the bride through when her dress is expected to ship, and what the next steps are.

I typically have 2 or 3 appointments during weekdays, but can have up to 6 on Saturdays! I love my job, and being able to help brides find the dress of their dreams! Thank you for following along on my day-to-day life at Blush Bridal, and I can’t wait to meet you! – XOXO Tammie
