Our best tips for brides on who to bring to find the gown of your dreams!

Wedding gown shopping is historically one of the most fun parts of wedding planning! While this occasion is fun, it is also extremely important and special. 40 years from now, you can look back on your wedding dress experience and it should be filled with love and so many happy moments. And you’ll remember those you were surrounded by and their support on such a big decision. 

Brides ask us all the time “Who should I bring with me?” “How many can I bring?” “Is there a way to include all my special people if they can’t be there?”

We wanted to address all these questions in this blog to help make these decisions easier for you! After all, this journey is about you and the love of your life! Our job is to help you find the gown you’ll marry them in!

It is easy to want every single special person with you at your appointment to say yes to the dress, and we totally understand that excitement! We have found that sometimes too many guests can make this process difficult. Remember, the more people you have, the more opposing opinions and ideas you’ll have!

Who Should I Bring With Me?

-Bring the people who make you feel most empowered!

-Bring the people who help you feel decisive

-Bring the people closest to you, who know YOUR style best. 

-Bring the ones who will help you to find where your head and your heart meet.

How Many Can I Bring?

We do have a 6 guest limit for our standard bridal appointments. There are many reasons for this, but the main one being that we have seating for 6 comfortably in each dressing area. If you’d like to bring more guests, we do offer upgraded appointments. We always recommend brides bring 3-4 of their closest supporters. Decisions are easier to make, and the focus stays completely on you!

What If I Can’t Bring Everyone I Want With Me?

If you’re nervous about not getting to include everyone that you want to on dress shopping day, we do have some suggestions on how to involve them! In a world of technology we have found that including loved ones via FaceTime is helpful!  As a bride you will have multiple opportunities to come to Blush (including when YOUR dress comes in!). Once your gown is here we will schedule you for a Finishing Touches appointment. At a Finishing Touches appointment you will get to try on YOUR actual dress and choose any accessories you may want. These appointments are a great opportunity to do a “reveal” to your special people who may not have been able to join you when you said yes! It’s a magical moment between brides and their loved ones and we love watching everyone’s faces light up when they see the bride in HER dress!

In short, bring the ones you can’t imagine saying yes without. Bring the people who helped shape you in life who you want to share this precious memory with. And don’t forget, there are endless ways to include loved ones who may not be able to attend your appointment. So whether you have one person or 8 people with you, remember this is your moment and ultimately you will find the gown you get to marry the love of your life in!
